Hi, I'm Lor
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with an EdS in Experiential Counseling, and I’m passionate about supporting people in reconnecting with their innate capacity for healing, vitality, and joy.
My work explores the ways trauma, stress, and the systems around us can interrupt our connection to our bodies, our identities, our relationships, and our sense of aliveness.
I bring a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and relational approach to my work.
I have extensive experience supporting survivors of intimate partner violence, gender and sexual violence, and childhood abuse and neglect, as well as people navigating grief and loss, exploring identity, and major life transitions. I’m particularly passionate about working with the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
We don’t have to do this alone.
We all deserve people in our corner as we navigate the joyful, difficult, messy, and meaningful parts of being human.

My Practice
My approach is grounded in the belief that we don’t heal alone. Healing happens in relationship—with ourselves, with the communities that we are part of, and with the world around us.
I strive to create a space where clients can build a deeper relationship with themselves while also exploring how their healing can ripple outward into the relationships and communities they care about.
My work is weight-inclusive, sex-positive, social justice oriented, and grounded in an intersectional feminist lens. I draw from narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, experiential therapy, transformative justice, and human-centered and client-empowerment approaches.

About Me
My own background in competitive running and professional rock climbing deeply informs my work. I have supported people who have experienced trauma and loss in adventure sports, as well as athletes and guides navigating the demands of their work.
My graduate research explored training climbing guides in trauma- and resilience-informed care, and I’m especially interested in how movement and adventure can cultivate the skills we need to navigate challenge—while also considering how to prevent the stress injuries that can emerge when we aren’t intentional about how we engage with risk, pressure, and community.
Beyond individual therapy, I’m passionate about helping people and organizations create healing-centered spaces. I have worked in anti-violence and community mental health settings at both individual and systemic levels, and I’m interested in how we can build transformative communities rather than reproduce the harmful systems we are working to change. I love supporting people in developing the skills, practices, and relationships that allow communities to become places where more of us can truly belong, heal, and thrive.
